Sanding and polishing is an ergonomically challenging manual operation that many times, requires a special touch. Our SMARTFinish® robotic system was the first to use electro servo motor, force compliance tools, built-in vacuum systems, and non-destructive automatic paper/media changers to provide a repeatable high quality finishing solution.

Auto Marking
Encore Integrates an Auto Marking System that utilizes Convergient IT software to automatically generate robot paths to mark the locations of paint defects. The End-Of-Arm-Tooling will dispense a small amount of polish compound next to the defect for quick identification by the repair operators to process. This system can be matched with the J3D Tunnel system or the Micro Epsilon reflectCONTROL.

Targeted Spot Sanding and Buffing
Encore Automation delivers automated spot sanding and buffing to repair paint defects with precision. Integrated with defect detection systems, our robots generate sanding paths based on inspection data, ensuring consistent, high-quality surface repairs while reducing manual labor. We are experienced with FerRobotics Active Orbital Kits, an advanced system combining Active Compliant Technology with a high-performance orbital sander, grinder, and polisher. With full control over speed, force, and feed rate, this solution optimizes sanding for E-coat, Primer, and Top Coat repairs. Working closely with FerRobotics, Encore customizes efficient, automated sanding solutions for superior surface finishing.
